Not only do I enjoy and write poetry, but I have had the pleasure of reading some beautiful,
soul-stirring poetry of family, friends and acquaintances. It struck me that being able to share these creative impulses with the rest of humanity might be a rich opportunity to connect like-minded souls!

Love
Love is the essence of being,
its imposters found everywhere,
like dynamite's long fuse,
a beginning that ends with a bang,
a tall tale,
woven in the faded light of history.
Come now!
Show your face!
With no beginning
and
no end,
sunrise to sunset,
the eyes say it all.
Behold the spark ignited
by tiny fingers and toes,
wrinkled faces,
gnarled hands
withered and slow.
From the potter's wheel,
a labor of love,
baked to perfection,
the impermanent structure,
to have,
to hold,
and to give away...
